Focus Pocus

Privacy

Focus Pocus took your photos at a public event. This page says what we keep, why, and for how long.

What we keep

The photos on your card, the card’s code, and, if you buy, the payment amount and the email address you typed at checkout. If you ask us to email you your link, we keep that address too. If you give the photographer your name, email or phone number at the shoot, we keep those too: your name to greet you on your gallery, and your email or number only to contact you about these photos, and only if you agree. We note roughly where your photos were taken (the photographer’s phone, not yours), to know which spots work; once your photos are deleted, only an area of about 100 metres is kept, with nothing to link it to you. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.

If you write to us

The contact form on the home page asks for your name, email address and a message, and optionally your phone number and the event’s date. We use them only to reply to you, and delete them after 12 months. The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from scripts; Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply to that check. Nothing from Google is loaded until you start filling the form in.

What we don’t do

No face recognition, no tracking, no selling or sharing your photos or details with anyone else.

How long

Photos you don’t buy are deleted after 90 days. Photos you buy are kept for 12 months so you can download them again, then deleted.

Deleting your photos

Use “Delete my photos” at the bottom of your gallery. Everything on your card is deleted within 72 hours, along with your name and the email addresses and phone numbers you gave us. Even if you don’t ask, these details go when your photos do. We keep only the payment amount, which the law requires for our accounts.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
